Kurt and I went to Fishcreek Park on Saturday for a Pugsley ride.  I posted some photos to my Bow Cycle Blog.

Amazingly cool bike!

How do you keep from falling into the sweat/freeze cycle when you’re bundled up like that – dress to freeze all the time and keep moving??

It really isn’t an issue…we ride using performance fabrics…wicking base layers, fleece for insulation, Gore-tex shell to get water out. We stay warm and dry.

What is an issue for snow biking is the clothing that keeps you warm while biking isn’t enough for an extended stop and conversely if you are warm standing still you’ll boil on the bike. This makes break downs a real problem since you can’t really sit around fixing a flat if it’s -30 deg C. On the upside the winter biking world is sharp object light since snow and ice coat most surfaces.
