CETMA Fork...

I’m posting my CETMA build photos on Flickr here. I’ll keep updating them and commenting on them as I go.

Vik, I can’t view the photos because I don’t have a Yahoo account.
“You must be signed in to see this content from vikapproved”

This has not been a requirement in the past and I really don’t need one more account.
Any ideas?

thanks, Janet

That’s odd. Try going to Flickr.com search for vikapproved and see if that works. I didn’t think there was any need to be a Yahoo member to see the images. It may be the way I linked them.

Sorry for the hassle.

Vik,

I don’t have any problem viewing the photos in vikapproved, I’m doing that right now. This is additional information I see when I click on the Cetma link, right after the log in requirement message:

“SafeSearch is a feature that allows you to control what turns up in your searches on Flickr, and it’s on for everyone by default. If you aren’t logged in, you can turn SafeSearch off if you wish, but only on a per-search basis, via Advanced Search. Find out more at our Filters FAQ page. ”

thanks, J

Apparently Flickr has a filter for Bike Porn then… I got the same thing. Had to log in to see the set with the Safesearch warning.

Other than that, it looks great! I hope you have fun with that thing!

Works fine, and lovely bike.

So it looks like Flickr changed their settings so now any photos I upload can only be seen by Flickr members…which sucks. Hopefully there is a good backlash or I’ll have to start looking for a new photo hosting site…=-(

This may be part of the Micro$oft / Yahoo Search integration which was finalized a few days ago. And I agree that it sucks.

Strange thing is photos uploaded in the past seem to remain open to anyone??

So if you guys went to my main vikapproved link below you were able to see the CETMA photos without logging into Yahoo?

I can get to your main page and then find the link to Cargo Bikes

but nothing specifically about CETMA on your page.

Can you try this link again?…I think I fixed the problem.

Done and dusted!

Care to share the problem?

My safety settings were set at “moderate” rather than “safe” as a default so that meant only people with a compatible security preference could see them and by default that means members only.

Thanks for pointing out the problem. I’m glad it was correctable. I didn’t want to have to find a new hosting service!

Glad I could help. I’ve been following your adventures for a while now and wanted to continue.

Awesome looking cargo bike! I’ve been wanting one badly ever since I ran across his site looking for a rack a couple of years ago. Problem is, I live 12 miles out in the country and that’s just a little too far for practical cargo biking, for me anyway.

Hello Vik. I just stumbled on your site and thought you might enjoy seeing my recent CETMA cargo build. I just posted some photos to flickr. They’re here:

I absolutely love my new rig, and the kids love it too. (plus the hills around here in NorCal provide a good workout with both kids loaded in)

Best regards,
-Greg

Greg, did you ever create plans for building that box? I’d love to duplicate!
